Letting her go...
We had to put our 13+ year old yellow lab to sleep yesterday {Tippy}. It was extremely hard however age was catching up with her and she was just getting worse. Her hips were giving out more and more everyday and along with that her hearing has been gone and her bladder was leaking. With winter coming she was just going to be more miserable. The hardest part was that she was still completely with us and in great spirits and still full of life. Letting her go was the best thing we could do for her. We had great times with her and she brought so much JOY & LOVE to our family, she was always there to cheer you up even if she was in trouble. You are missed Tippy and we know you are now with your best friend, Lucy. Lucy was our black lab that had to be put down 2 years ago. These two girls will forever hold a special place in our hearts!! >
"A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. Status symbol means nothing to him. A waterlogged stick will do just fine. A dog judges others not by their color or creed or class but by who they are inside. A dog doesn't care if you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his. It was really quite simple, and yet we humans, so much wiser and more sophisticated, have always had trouble figuring out what really counts and what does not." - marley & me
